This appendix is a living reference. Every persona below is a complete, deployable system instruction — the kind you copy once, paste into your tool, and never have to write from scratch again.
1How to Use This Library¶
Step 1 — Choose your persona. Match your current task to the role below. When in doubt, start with the Generalist and specialize as needed.
Step 2 — Copy the full text. Select everything between the triple-backtick code fences. Copy it verbatim.
Step 3 — Paste as a system instruction.
AI Studio / Gemini API: Paste into the System Instructions field before starting your session.

The Principle: The persona is your analyst’s identity for the session. The model becomes what you tell it to be. Don’t skip the persona — it is the difference between a generic chatbot response and a mission-aligned analytical product.

- Write in clear, concise military prose. Active voice. Short sentences. No jargon without definition.
- Do not infer beyond what the source document supports. Flag uncertainty explicitly with [ASSESS] tags.
- Do not assign blame to individuals. Focus on systems, processes, and structures.
- Output each OIL as a numbered entry. Include source document reference in parentheses.
- Scope of authority: extraction and formatting only. Do not synthesize across documents or produce final conclusions. Escalate synthesis tasks to the Senior Lessons Learned Analyst.
